RIM’s Blackberry is struggling fighting against Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android on the smartphone field. Like myspace.com is replaced by facebook, competitive battle starts and ends all the time in the technology world. According to static from pcworld, Blackberry are still hungry popular in UK although market share are swallowed by Android and iPhone in other places including the USA, Canada and Austria. It was said the data shows that Blackberry mainly appeal to Women and young people. The competitive price allows young people to switch to a smart phone affordable. Apart from that, there are some other features attract people to stick to Blackberry, which is collected from a poll by crackberry.

1.       Keyboard, most people agree that the keyboard is very useful and convenient to access to apps. Not only because Blackberry keyboard offers a real touch feeling, it also because it integrates the most used applications there which people can easily access and feel comfortable of the way it is. Some people suggests iPhone can completely replace Blackberry if it comes with a keyboard. I don’t agree. If iPhone comes with a keyboard, it will lose all its advantage as it is neither an iPhone nor a Blackberry.
2.       Instant Massages. Massages are another key feature people adores. Although iPhone and Android does well in this field, it is still hard to compare with the inventor Blackberry. This also explains why Blackberry has more young users. This group send most messages.
3.       Batteries. Blackberry doesn’t list on the third position by users. But it gets most mentions. It is well known that blackberry battery is replaceable, can be charged fully sooner and can service longer time compare with other devices.
4.       Detailed apps. This varies as different people uses the phone for different things. Some think BBM is amazing. Some propose LCD alert, Auto text, Camera and so on.
5.       For me, Blackberry trackball is interesting. It works like a mouse to a computer. That’s amazing. You can control the cursor to anywhere you want by rolling the trackball. I think Blackberry doesn’t have a good look. But the bb trackballs are surely an bonus.
