Samsung Galaxy S II sells crazily, Will Samsung Threaten Apple.inc in the Smartphone Market?

Samsung Galaxy S II is popular in EU right now

Samsung Galaxy S II launched in its home base of South Korea on April 29 before it available at Japan and European countries in May and was reported to sell 5 million in 85 days with a big bang. It kind of deserves it as this popular phone sports a dual-core 1.2MHZ processor along with a 8-mega pixel camera in back, and a 2-mega pixel camera in front. And it is the first device running on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. It draws a lot of attention and becomes more popular in some markets compared with iPhone 4. In some carriers, this high-end smartphone is treated as the flagship phone recently. And the current news show an all-white version will be released in Europe on Augest 15th, which is thought to be more elegant and may bring another high purchasing wave of the Samsung Galaxy S II. It was also said this phone will be available in the USA in Fall or September with the three major carriers.
Samsung VS Apple.inc
Whatever, it is not a good news for Apple.inc. Days ago a news claimed that 35% of people want to buy iPhone 5 was logically criticised by a technology journalist with solid data. A simple fact is that Apple needs to get 5 times audience to reach 35% share of the market in a short time. It’s impossible. Another reason is that the coming iPhone 5 is expected too much that may disappoint people with subtle flaw. And Samsung, HTC doesn’t have that pressure. Following a survey from asymco, Android-based phones as well as Apple.inc swallowed the share from Nokia, RIM. And Samsung grows more rapidly compared with Motorola and HTC. Don’t like HTC, Samsung doesn’t have the patent infringement by Apple, which ensures the stability growth in the future.
It’s hard for so many technology company giants sharing the same cake. When Apple grows, Nokia, RIM falls. Microsoft loses its share to Google whose stomach gets bigger and bigger. Time changes, and nobody knows what’s the next trend.  Will Samsung stands out many Android-based manufacturers to compete with iPhone?  Let’s keep an eye.
